Instinct to Evolution – Part 2

Instinct to Evolution – Part 2
The prime purpose of life has always been to awaken the great dormant potential and evolve the human consciousness beyond the limitations of mind, time and space. This is the reason that the subject of kundalini yoga has become very popular in India as well as abroad and so it has become necessary for all of us to understand both its practical and philosophical aspects in clearly defined terms. Kundalini is mahashakti or power house, residing in a deep down at Mooladhara the first chakra or level of human consciousness.
Human evolution, which we are undergoing relentlessly, both as individuals and as a race, is a journey through these different chakras/ energy centres. Modern science divides the dormant area of the brain into ten parts, whereas in kundalini yoga we divide it into six. The qualities or manifestations of the brain are also six fold, e.g., the psychic powers. These manifest in different individuals according to the ratio of trigunas and degree of awakening in the corresponding areas of the brain.
Second next level of consciousness evolves or manifests at the Swadhisthana chakra, Swa & adhisthan - means one’s own abode. Which is connected with all the phases of the unconscious, the subliminal mind. It is the seat of primary ignorance and storehouse of Samskaras/impressions/ archetypes of past lives and our karma. Every perception, experience is registered and seated in the unconscious. The strong, bitter, even the insignificant karmas or impressions are registered and stored. “Swadhisthana is made up of all the rubbish which we never wanted, which we never needed, which we never desired but which got in.” These impressions are the strongest hindrance on the path of evolution. It is usually swadhisthana is active, because swadhisthana is the centre of all the passions. When swadhisthana chakra begins to be active / awaken, all the faculties concerning passion, sexuality, jealousy, hatred and so on bubble up. So most of the time in mooladhara, swadhisthana and manipura level of consciousness, we feel like enjoying and indulging the senses, without ever thinking about having to transcend them. There is spontaneous tendency of suppression in human consciousness. During the process of evolution, here the energy undergo the purgatory process the emptying out of our karmashya.
Swadhisthana is at the third disc of the spine; it is a vermilion lotus with six petals. In swadhisthana chakra the sense of taste is the sensory avenue or input. In tasting we use the hands, which are the motor output of swadhisthana, to take food to the mouth, and to drink. There is a very interesting relationship between the sensation of taste, the sexual fluids of the body and the awakening of swadhisthana chakra. So water is the element here. Vyana vayu is flowing all over. Other Microcosmic blooming of this chakra is connected to the tongue, the index finger, kidney, testes, ovaries, excretory functions, pelvic plexus, urinary system & body fluids, meda/ fat dhatu. The macrocosmic connection is with Bhuvah loka, Moon & Venus planet, orange colour wavelength (wearing saffron orange dress by our Sanatani followers are the symbol of taming the passionate tendencies of human mind), the animal Crocodile which has access to the surface as well the substratum (the human mind also works at multifold levels) and the collective Unconsciousness. So any type of mass hysteria is the expression of distorted Swadhisthan energy. The Divine or awakened consciousness at Swadhisthan manifests the divine source and its quality of Krishna a Yogi and the bhogi both here, Bhuvaneshawri devi & Rakini Devi, Rati devi & Kaamdev, Pashupati shiva, the controller of all the animal instinct and passion within us. Other associated power manifestations of awakened Swadhisthan, fearlessness from water, power to taste anything desired for oneself as well others and intuitional abilities etc.
Most of us have to live a dynamic life: we have to face everything and accept it as a part of spiritual evolution. There is no need to suppress karma, friendship or enmity, ambitions, not even anger, desire and the passions. One needs to just live a very open life. Passion is the indispensable element of our life, how to get rid of it. No it’s not getting rid of it, but to manage it. It takes some time to learn to respect our own urges/passions. We are compelled by our urges, yet we don't respect them. We don't believe that there is any way to fulfill them and still progress in the spiritual life. It is important to understand that the energy & matter or manifestations is Intra-convertible.
The Yogic or Vedic or Tantric or Spiritual system helps us to sublimate these processes so that what we are already doing can be used for higher spiritual evolution. Suppression of the passions will explode and be more down warding than evolving therefore the reanalysis, redefining and redirecting the passionate energy is the key to move forward. The collective consciousness of present era is in the swadhisthan propensity. So, the improvement in psycho-emotional life is very- very important for success in material as well as spiritual life. The same flow of passion energy is channeled towards devotion. And the primal energy transform in the divine energy. The present era of bhakti energy is helping surpass its collective consciousness further on higher level. In other words, the individual energy channelization in Bhakti is leading the collective consciousness towards evolution.
The practitioner can do Swadhisthan Chakra Sadhana & Shuddhi for cleansing and balancing of this energy centre. Suitable ShatKriya, Asanas and Pranayama to avoid effect of suppression on our psychosomatic system. Trataka and Antar Mouna / Inner silence is one of the powerful method for mental and emotional purgatory. Building and balancing of EQ (emotional quotient) & SQ (spiritual & Bhakti Quotient) is important to overcome the down warding energy of blocked Swadhisthan.
Tuning the vibration of Swadhisthan Chakra with suitable energy frequency of Krishna consciousness, Kaamdeva & Pashupati Shiv through sound vibration (Mantras) and use of natural products having same electromagnetic energy frequency is (Colour, Rudraksha, Gems, Herbs etc.) suiting to the individuals are an aid for taming the Kundalini energy at this level of desire & passion.

Instinct to Evolution – Part 1

Instinct to Evolution – Part 1
Each one of us represents a microcosm in this vast macrocosm, or a little being inside ourselves. We have within us these very elements of macrocosm. Awakening the chakras are, in one sense also about gaining control of these elements inside, releasing their power, for each element is related to a specific centre/ Chakras. The chakras are vortices of psychic energy and are visualized and experienced as circular movement at a particular rate of vibration. Human evolution, which we are undergoing relentlessly, both as individuals and as a race, is a journey through these different chakras/ energy centres. First one Mooladhara chakra is the subtle root or framework of human existence. Moola means 'the root', adhara means 'support'. Mooladhara is the most basic, fundamental chakra. It is like the central station. In actual fact there are 7 higher and 7 lower chakras, representing 14 planes of consciousness. The lower most chakra in human is the highest in animals.
Out of all, Fear is one of the instinct always there in human life which brings us closer to the animal and pushes us down. Fear and insecurity are in everyone. There is nobody who is free from fear or insecurity. However, one has to realize the futility of fear. There is no need for me to be fearful or afraid, if whatever is going to happen, is out of my control. We have to know how much fear we can manage, and what we cannot manage. If we can manage, there is no cause of fear, if we can’t manage then anyway we have no control, as it is an instinctual response. The instant response to a situation is called instinct. The fear factor comes in when we are not aware of the situation. When aware, there is no fear. Insecurity comes when there is no awareness.
In its awakened state this centre represents our spiritual potential, but in its dormant state it represents the instinctive level of life which supports our basic existence. Both of these possibilities lie in Mooladhara. Microcosmic blooming of this chakra is connected with the Annamaya kosha, Apana vayu, sense of smell, the nose, the thumb finger, limbs, genitals, anus, perineal body, excretory functions, sacro-coccygeal plexus, Musculo-skeletal system & body weight, and the macrocosmic connection is with Bhuloka, Mars planet, Elephant and the Earth element. The consciousness at this level expresses with passion, the instincts- Fear- bhaya, ahara- craving, nidra- sleep, and maithuna- sexuality, anger, greed, and sexual aspect of procreation (same as in animal), attachment, accumulation, material security, survival, stability and materialism etc. The Divine or awakened consciousness at Mooladhar manifests the divine source and its quality of Kubera, Ganesha, Subramanya, Hanuman and Brahma within us. Other associated power manifestations of awakened Mooladhara – Awakening of Kundalini, Levitation, total control over body, Ever Disease free body and mind, Ability to produce any smell and ever cheerful etc.

AWARENESS is the key to overcome the instinct of fear. Also reducing the stress level with AJAPA Breathing & Japa. Building self-confidence through SWAN - S(Strength) W(Weakness) A(Ambition) N(Need) understanding. Suitable ShatKriya & Asanas for the readiness of body to contain & retain the Mooladhar energy frequency. Smell/ incense/aroma is the Mooladhara trigger to activate Earth element, Chakra Sadhana & Shuddhi for cleansing and balancing of Mooladhara Chakra to overcome the instinctual consciousness and evolve further. Tuning the vibration of Mooladhar Chakra with suitable energy frequency of Ganesha, Hanuman, Kuber, Subramanya & Brahma through sound vibration (Mantras) and use of natural products having same electromagnetic energy (Colour, Rudraksha, Gems, Herbs etc.) suiting to the individuals are another important step for taming the Kundalini at this level of Instinct. Building HQ (Health quotient) & WQ (Work & Wealth quotient) is also very important step at the central station of Mooladhar to move on the path of evolution.

YOGA

YOGA
"Yoga is not only a series of physical postures or meditative practices. It is a lifestyle which can be lived by everyone. It is a form of understanding, of realizing our interactions in life, trying to improve them, trying to understand the needs of the body, the needs of the mind and also the needs of the spirit. This is the concept of a yogic lifestyle: living according to the laws of the body-mind and the laws of nature..."

Energy body

Energy body
It has been found that when one undergoes a crisis in life, it is not only the thoughts, emotions, feelings or body that get disturbed, but also the energy system of the body. If that energy system is not maintained properly, the crisis can become stronger, deeper, and much more depleting.
From the yogic perspective, as long as we can maintain the health of our Pranic body, our physical body, mind and emotions will follow suit no matter what the outer turmoil may by. Pranayam, Mantras and meditation rectify this energy imbalance. The basis of all the Yajnas and Havans and Anusthanas are the mantras, which help correct imbalance and allow an individual to regain Balance and Health.
